Problems Installing CSS/Steam

Well my I: drive with all my steam related stuff completely died and I have to reinstall steam, css, hl2dm, etc. But when I tried to install steam this error came up

Error 1327. Invalid Drive: I:\

So I tried to install CSS by disc and the same error came up.

The problem is obviously that it is trying to link up with my previous programs and such on my I: drive, or something related to the I: drive.

So I tried googling it and it told me to change the registry point in my shell folders, but I went there and there was no css/steam related programs and all of them were directed to C: My Documents anyway.

I also went to Add or Remove Programs and the only program related to steam there was Team Fortress 2, and it's path showed it connected to the I: drive, so obviously I can't delete it. Not sure if this could be the problem or not.

Did you try defragging?

when installing steam did you change the directory from I to C, or wherever else you would be installing it?

It doesn't even give me a chance to direct it anywhere. As soon as I clicked "Install CSS/Steam" this error comes up.

Meh do you mean defrag my C: drive?

you could try changing your c drive (or another drive if you have one) to the letter I, and that should work.

Problem has been solved, got my computer savy friend to help me.
