The 6850 seems like a good pick for the price. If you want to spend about $20 more you can get a 6870 which would probably give you 5-15 more FPS over the 6850 depending on the game.

Hey Toni, this is an article that I used to build my gaming pc a year ago.
www.maximumpc.com/article/features/how_build_awesome_pc_647

This is an updated version for this year
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/how_build_kick-ass_gaming_rig_under_700

It's a guide that lists all the parts and how to install them.
A lot of people disagree on some parts, so you don't have to follow the guide completely and change some parts if you think you can find better deals (just gotta make sure its compatible with the rest of the comp). I think this is pretty much overkill for a budget pc since I can run all the latest games at the highest settings on a 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are some exceptionally demanding games like Metro 2033 and Arma 2 that will lag on ultra but other games like Crysis 2 and BF3 run well on ultra.
I always go for performance so I play on MED-HIGH settings to get extra fps(I personally can't tell the difference) Anyways, hope this helps.

I'm playing the free version of Arma 2 on my laptop at 1920x1080 with better than 40fps avg :O and Crysis 2 with DX11 and high res textures should not run well on ultra no matter what machine. Also you wrote your inb4 after everyone was wailing about how they can build better machines!

yea it's been awhile but tbh i'm not really in a rush to get back...i took a break on looking for parts but i'm back now n looking for a (gaming) motherboard for an intel build that can handle an i5 sandy bridge cpu for around $100. I've looked over a few mobos but nothing really caught my attention a whole lot.
