Season 4 - Updates

This thread will contain all updates regarding Season 4.

Updates :

- Season 4 will be a draft with 4 player cores on each team. Hopefully starting within the month (February). Signups are also now open.
- Season 4 will be delayed multiple months after Season 3 finishes. The reasoning for this is to potentially generate interest and excitement again so we don't have teams stop showing up mid-season. This time can also be used to expand and get new players into pugs, without them having to worry about season game play right off the bat. We feel if we started Season 4 come January, we would be lucky to even get 6 teams and would see a lot of forfiets again. Basically, if the veterans are not interested / excited to play a season, there is no way new people would be (at least not once the season starts).

Update :

Delaying season 4 is up for LO vote again.

A public vote has also been made to see what people would like to see for season 4. Link -> [Only admins are allowed to see this link]

delaying the season will lose interest. Not gunna wait for a online game when u have other shit to do.

The interest generates as people miss match gameplay. To lose interest would mean you do not find the match gameplay fun at all.

Think of any hobby you do IRL / on a game.. for example, I'm a lot more interested in watching hockey after 2 months of an offseason then I am the day after previous season ends.

IDK, that was the theory anyway, and I would still be supportive of it if I didn't feel like the interest level may be high already.

thats true with hockey cuz i fucking hate the offseason. but when ur playing online i think that it is different. i think the interest as of right now, is pretty high and we shud try to start as fast as we can

2 Ideas

1) CLUBHOUSE/XSL MAP.. make it unique and big so when we don't pug we can just do random stuff. idk if big map = lag soo.... might want to go with option 2

2) Make it look like a real soccer stadium. [Only admins are allowed to see this link]

Or even better! We could then combine the PSL and Stinger's server into a 24 slot server and have two simultaneous pugs taking place on the various fields. Maybe even build a rec center off to the side so people can go in there to play basketball, indoor football, waterpolo, and ping pong!

May not be it exactly, but it looks a lot like it. Plus it's really old and probably doesn't even work well anymore.

haha iv played that map before it sucks dick

everyone wants a big ass map but as soon as they get it they complain about having to get used to corners or whatever and they complain about fps problems (which are inevitable if you're doubling the size of the stands)

plus its no use mapping soccer maps for css anymore how fucked the ball physics are
