New Generation?
Instead of doing another season of psl right away or the nassa league, why don't we play on a real map. Like the club house map on cue's server. It's a whole lot better than psl and nassa. Actually takes passing to everyone and no pews. The map has a lot of extras and the field dose't look great but we have spock for a reason. All im saying is can the LOs think about this in their next meeting. Thank you

Would help if you elaborated a bit more than "it's better than PSL"

Re: New Generation?
People say they like this map better than our map (the psl one) because the ball doesn't pew more and can be more controlled. It also has a "real soccer" feel because of the corner, goal kicks, etc..

Re: New Generation?
So it's kind of like the Pvt_4 map? I don't really think we could change the league that much by doing goal kicks, etc. But it would be fun to pug on that map every now and then.

In my opinion, that is exactly what we should be looking for. Something different to have fun with for awhile. Now, as far as it actually happening right after Season 1 in place of a Draft League or Season 2, I am not too sure. But I would definatly be down for it.

Re: New Generation?
I didn't realize we've all been playing a game (some of us for 5+ years) that we don't find fun as it is

That's just it...Why not do something different instead of repeatedly doing the same thing that some people have been doing for 5+ years. Do a vote, and if the majority of the people want to do something different then so be it. Plus if people say it's fun, then why not let them have the fun they want to have?
plus the only thing that PSL generated for me was frustration

Re: New Generation?
Because our history says not to. We always find a mod / map people like, we play it for a month or so and drop it. And by the 5 years comment, I mean we clearly find the game fun as it is (minus the pews), why risk making a change and potentially losing players? Don't start with the whole pew thing though... Im 100% for changing the match map after this season.Cueball wrote:That's just it...Why not do something different instead of repeatedly doing the same thing that some people have been doing for 5+ years.
Im not saying that a new map isn't a bad idea (I love new maps), but changing the whole setup of how we're use to soccer is not the way to go IMO.Cueball wrote:Do a vote, and if the majority of the people want to do something different then so be it. If the PSL truely 'only' generated frustation, I wonder why you kept playing? Something tells me it had to do with fun!Cueball wrote:plus the only thing that PSL generated for me was frustration

Re: New Generation?
I am all for a map change, the ball is too inconsistent to put up with for another season. I don't think playing a map that changes our entire game-play will help the league though.

We didn't really say no lol. I knew nothing of the map before, but I don't think we should have a throw-in map.Anchor_Man wrote:Yeha, we will check it out. I would like to play this some time..

tee hee...I've noticed that there seems to be a proportional relationship between how much I care about a topic and the amount of multiple-quotes I use in a response. ....I do admire your appropriate use of emoticons though - they really get the emotional aspect of the responses across.
