I kept doing slide tackles because I was sick of the constant deking....I kept hitting L1 + Square (change player and slide tackle)...

Tackling in FIFA 12 is a joke, you can slide tackle someone right infront of you, but somehow go through them, its fucking retarded...and if you hit Circle to tackle, they put their leg out...

They ruined FIFA, plain and simple....Lets not even talk about the collisions

Actually, you can change it back to the old way of defending.
Go to Game Settings > Controls > wireless ps3 controller > in that list, it should be the last option at the bottom, change it from where it is to the old way.

Yeah but I wouldn't recommend doing this if you plan to play online at all. You can only use tactical defending online.
