Captain Tier Team Rankings

Just thought I'd throw together a Team Rankings post based off the Captain Tiers list. By adding up all the players on a team and giving them points (+3/2/1/0) for their Captain Tier rank, I came out with the following:

Captain Tier Team Rankings:

1. ConQur - 20 (4 Tier 3 players, currently 5th place)

2. Magical Knives - 18 (4 Tier 3 players, currently 6th place)

3. Fig and Fig - 18 (1 Tier 3 player, currently 1st place)

4. Unique - 17 (1 Tier 3 player, currently 4th place)

5. One - 17 (0 Tier 3 players, currently 2nd place)

6. Greatest Ones - 16 (3 Tier 3 players, currently 3rd place)


I think the results thus far are quite surprising/interesting with the two teams with the highest number of Tier 3 players are currently in last place and the team with only 1 Tier 3 player is in first! Should make for a very interesting season.

I agree that this is of note. However, it is more likely a case of coincidence and not correlation.

Also consider the fact that some people are ranked fairly low on the Captain Tier rank even if they have high skill because their ability to choose a team well, or lead them may be considered low. Same goes for vice versa.

As well (let me throw in some excuses for my team ^^) some teams have had problems with people showing up. For example, ConQur has not played a full game with 6 fielded players, including the preseason.

Just some food for thought.

Tbh the tiers should be updated since many people have gotten better and/or have gotten better at choosing a team from the begginning of summer to now

I just like the fact that even with somewhat "unbalanced" teams in regards to Captain Tiers (I know Captain Tier doesn't equal skill), we are faced with a seemingly unpredictable outcome to this season. This should make for a very interesting and competitive season - especially if mK can get their act together and CQR can field 6. I think things thus far are entertaining and competitive, and I believe it's a positive step in the right direction for the league.

All we need is more active people so half of this season's games aren't either forfeited or played 6 vs 5.
